About Us

Nancy Chusid is an oboist, pianist, recorder player, teacher, conductor, composer, and an author of a collection of American Folk Songs for Children. She is a graduate of Vassar College and attended the Julliard School. She is trained in Kodaly and Orff methods and has tought at many schools including the Dalton School in Manhattan. She has played music and sung with people her whole life.

In her singing groups she creates a safe and fun place to learn, and presents songs that are inspiring and meaningful, both traditional and composed, from all around the world.

Location

The Music Room is located on John Street in West Hurley just off route 28 in a cozy converted barn. It is a colorful and welcoming space, warm in the winter and air conditioned in the warmer months. There is ample parking and a nearby library and shopping for parents dropping off kids.
